![]() This is a very interesting guitar to play. The Fender Tele Sonic has a 24.75 inch scale length This would typically mean that, like the Telecaster Thinline, the top of the body blank is sliced off, tone and wiring chambers routed, the cap is restored and the body finished.īridge, a Wilkinson stop-bar wraparound tailpiece is used, in a form that allows both individual string adjustments for height and intonation. The body is Honduran Mahogany, with tone chambers added. There are other notable differences from stock models to the Fender Tele Sonic. They have been upgraded to lindy fralin PAF pickups which kinda brings in the whole SG vibe a lot better and also sounds absolutely killer! Low or high volumes you get that PAF bite and really fun to play. They seemed wimpy and would have been better off with normal tele pickups as opposed to those shrill sounding dearmonds (IMO!) The pickups have been upgraded from the dearmond single coil gretsch “jet” style pickups. A very fun and awesome sounding guitar that's different than all of the rest. ![]() This guitar is in overall very good condition with some light players wear around the body. This cherry finished one is my favorite it looks just like they were slightly inspired by a Gibson SG 61’ reissue. The Tele-Sonic had a chambered mahogany body with a shorter 24-3/4' scale length, wraparound Fender Tech-Tonic bridge, and two USA DeArmond 2K single-coil pickups.
